Artistic Statement
In a light-hearted way, my paintings use elements such as birds, jars, and goldfish to represent the challenges that humans endure. More often than not, the concept for each painting relates back to my observation of the way people communicate, including but not limited to interactions of my own. The portraits are representations of my love for features I find aesthetically pleasing, like beards and bald heads, and the interesting personalities behind them.
