The Foundry for Art Design + Culture LLC is an international arts center formed by artists Lynne Allard and Jesse Matulis in 2007 and is expected to open autumn 2008. The Foundry is located in the heart of historic downtown Cohoes New York. In mid-2005 The Foundry principals purchased the Cohoes property with the vision of creating an environment to promote the value of art, design and culture in building a unique sense of place in our region.

The Foundry is a unique integration of the arts, design, heritage, preservation and public art; committed to enriching community through culture. Public exhibitions and performances, public art, preservation of significant sites and interpretation of local history deepen our connections to the places in which we live and work. The Foundry stimulates cultural activity and enhances the assets that distinguish a community as vibrant, unique and authentic.
