The visiting artists series In Line, curated by Jacqueline Weaver features the work of three artists working in fiber, drawing, painting and installation. Sarah Baldwin, Kendra Skalski and Brian DeRosia abstractly explore a range of topics such as the connection between body and environment, personal histories and the act of making through the use of line, pattern, texture and scale.

about the artists
Sarah Baldwin is an emerging artist living in Wells, ME. Originally from Gloucester MA, she moved to Portland, ME to attend the University of Southern Maine where she earned a BFA in drawing in 2011. She currently works at the Corey Daniels Gallery as a Media and Exhibition designer. Her drawings explore medium and mark-making technique in intuitively designed, complex scenarios.
Brian DeRosia uses experimental drawing practices to explore ideas of action, motion, and representation. He grew up outside of Syracuse, NY and received his MFA from the Maine College of Art in 2005. He currently lives in Brooklyn, NY.
Kendra Skalski was born and raised in Saratoga County, New York. She graduated in 2006 from The College of Saint Rose with her BFA dual major Art Education and New York State Certification to teach K-12. She continued her education and received her MFA from Pratt Institute in 2009. Kendra currently resides in New York City pursuing studio art.
