Foundry Is Now MWBE Certified

By July 29, 2015December 3rd, 2015No Comments

The Foundry received certification as a Minority Women Business Enterprise (MWBE) by New York State Department of Economic Development, Division of Minority and Women’s Business Development (DMWBD).

“By receiving the MWBE designation, we look forward to the opportunities the certification will bring,” said Alana Sparrow, Founder and Creative Director of the Foundry.

The MWBE certification for minority women-owned business is the most recognizable and sought after certification of its kind. DMWBD’s standard of certification is a meticulous process including an in-depth review of the business and site inspection. The certification process is designed to confirm the business is at least 51% owned, operated and controlled by a minority, and a woman or women.

By including minority women-owned businesses among their vendors, corporations, and government agencies demonstrate their commitment to fostering diversity and the continued development of their supplier/vendor diversity programs.
